All of our cottages and houses are furnished and decorated to an excellent standard with designer furniture and decor throughout and equipped with everything you need for a fantastic break from the hustle and bustle of life. They are intended to offer you luxury and comfort as standard; we feel confident that they do both.
Each dwelling has a wood-burning stove, open fireplace or both, depending on its size. An unlimited supply of logs is made available to ensure your chosen dwelling is cosy and inviting even in the coldest of months. Bed linen and towels are made from highest quality cotton and sea kelp toiletries from Out of Eden are supplied in all bathrooms making bed and bath times a treat in themselves.
Our beds are extremely comfortable doubles or super kings and can be separated into two large singles giving you the flexibility to configure rooms exactly as you need to without compromising on comfort. Most bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Where they don’t, a luxurious separate bathroom won’t be far away.
On arrival, you will find a welcome basket containing tea, freshly ground coffee, milk and biscuits. Our kitchens are very well-equipped with everything you’d need to make a delicious Sunday lunch and more. Plus, an extensive guest information pack will tell you where best to shop for the things you love to eat and places to dine out should you not wish to cook. Supermarket deliveries can be made directly to your cottage.

Ardtalla. An exclusive use venue.
A nine-bedroomed Highland country house with an impressive galleried hall. Converted from 18th Century stables, Ardtalla is positioned at the heart of the estate, adjacent to Novar’s five-acre walled garden.
Larch Cottage
This traditional 18th century cottage, set between woodlands and the park, has been refurbished to a high standard and offers comfortable accommodation with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en suite, a cosy living room with open fire and well-equipped kitchen/dining room.
Dalgheal
Positioned the edge of woodlands, Dalgheal is a stunning five-bedroomed house with an incredible sense of place that welcomes like a family home. The house is spacious and bright which adds an element of freshness to the well-proportioned rooms.
Braemoray Cottage
Braemoray offers spacious accommodation with three bedrooms, two en suite, a well-equipped kitchen, delightful reception room with open fire and three cosy, wood-panelled bedrooms on the first floor.
Little Fyrish
A self-contained, one-bedroomed Highland cottage with views of Cromarty Firth from the garden. Recently refurbished to a high standard, Little Fyrish is a dwelling that dates back to the earliest beginnings of Novar Estate.
Knocklea
A beautifully-proportioned cottage, Knocklea comprises three double bedrooms, one master bedroom with en suite bathroom, two further bathrooms, spacious living and dining rooms with open fire and a large well-equipped kitchen with further dining space.
Strone
A modern two-bedroomed cottage with a first-floor living room to make the most of the stunning Novar views. Located a short walk from Knocklea, Strone is a two-bedroomed cottage situated close to the River Alness and Novar woodlands with exclusive access to its own river pool.
